A New Fresh Start.

I'm back into blogging.
Well, you can say I wasn't an active blogger back then.
I'm back here out of boredom.
I'm having my 2nd week of sem break and I have like 2 more weeks to spend.
Okay enough with those craps.

I'm gonna start a new post about an anime which i just finished today, Kurokami.

The anime,

Kurokami also known as "Black God", centres around Ibuki Keita, a high school student with isolationist attitude. The reason for this is that, for no apparent reason, everyone around him seems to die. One evening he meets a young girl named Kuro, and it is from her that he learns the true nature of the world.

I'll stop there as the story is quick to hit its stride. However, there are a few points I would like to point out. The plot, it’s pretty predictable. I can actually predict what’s going to happen next throughout the anime.

Aside from that, there are too much repetitive minor scenes as well as phrases. Somehow or rather, Kuro keeps thanking Keita for helping her. It’s not like once in a while but it’s like a few times throughout one battle. As for the battle scene it’s somewhat like fate stay/night a like. Where the contractor stands at the back while contractee fights. Not to forget, the scene where mototsumita uses exceed. It’s more like copy and paste. You can see the same exceed scene by Kuro in almost every episode.

Also, some of the story’s elements do not get explained or used properly, thus making the material feel like filler elements. As for the character progression, the character development for each character feels like a natural progression. Seeing Keita become a true partner for Kuro while evolving into a strong male lead matches Kuro's change from a naive Terra Guardian to a more mature responsible person, and both shifts proceed well.

The sound on the other hand, is average. Both openings and the second ending music sound generic, with only the first closing rising above the average mark into the good mark. The background music does have its charm with its chanting rock hybrid sound, but also fits the normal background music for the action drama genre. The sound effects fit perfectly into the action.

In short, Kurokami is a good watch for people that want to see a action drama animation properly done.

Rating: 7/10
